On Sovereignty: Layla Faad

Imagem
I do have to leave you this words of Layla Faad. They feel so good and righteous.... "A woman who is fully embodied in her own sovereignty frightens both men and women who are still entrenched in the patriarchy. A sovereign woman is a dangerous woman because she does not need anyone else's validation or permission. Those who are threatened by your sovereignty will tell you that 'you've changed'. That you've become too weird, or too political or too woo woo. That you talk too much or too loudly or too aggressively. What they're really saying is that you've become too much for them to handle, and that your too muchness threatens their sense of comfort. What they're really saying is, can you please become tame and docile again? Your wildness scares me. What they won't tell you is that it's not YOU who is the cause of their discomfort. It is THEM and the cognitive dissonance and inner misalignment that your sovereignty causes...

RedTent Moon Tribe: a collection of altars

Imagem
La Loba Healing Stories Collection of Altars from our RedTent Moon Tribe Circle: "Every Goddess needs an altar. A place to luxuriate in sacred bliss, reconnect with her creamy, dreamy divine core, & build a solid relationship with the Divine Feminine." I am so fascinated from the creative feminine! I collected some of the beautiful altars that we created sisters at our RedTent Circles and it's so amazing the colours, the energy, the love, the healing, the home feeling... Quoting Luisa Francia "The most important in a menstruationroom, in a hut or any cult place destinated to menstruate, is the altar." Caminhar em honra da água

Imagem

On Sovereignty 2: The good masculine.

Imagem
On Sovereignity 2:  The good masculine After publishing this story from Lady Ragnelle and Gawain  let's reflect on the good masculine as well. Quoting Sharon Blackie in her book "When women rose rooted": "This story shows the feminine principle of Sovereignty being honoured. Some stories go on to interpret this as women wanting sovereignty in the simple sense - that is, control over their own lives, the right to make their own choices; others go on to interpret it as women wishing to have power over men. But at another level the answer is plain enough: women want Sovereignty to take up their ancient role as the moral and spiritual authority of the land . In the celtic native myths and stories, Sovereignty represents the creative, regenerative, life-giving feminine principle; when it is balanced by the good masculine - when the goddess of the land enters into a sacried marriage with the true king of the people- then the land is fertile and the people safe ...

Notes on sacred blood

Imagem
On our sacred blood It took me a big part of my life not appreciating my blood so much. Actually he arrived when I was almost seventeen (!) and with so much pain that I was not specially happy. To say the truth it was more a lack of interest in it... an indifference. To say the least. With other four women at home besides me, all with their periods already, no one gave me a special word. And only much much later I understood this pain was the result of fighting the whole process.... I am grateful for all of this because it brought me where I am today: in absolute amazement for this wise red/reddish, brown/brownish nectar that comes out of my vagina. AHO. What a BLESS! I am now every month waiting for this "shamanic death" and for the blessed days I have during this sacred bleeding. I get much more calm (the tension of the week before is gone;), in the body, in my magic and creativity... IF I allow it. Many of us, women, do not have the chance to take a time off during...

On Sovereignty 1: What do women want?

Imagem
On Sovereignty 1: What do women want? One day King Arthur was hunting in the forest with his men when a deer briefly stepped into view and then just as suddenly vanished into a tangle of trees. "Stay here, everyone", said Arthur, "I'll stalk this one myself." With his bow in one hand and his arrows slung over his shoulder, the king crept after the deer until, deep into the forest, he slew it finally with a single shot. But as the animal fell, a tall figure, all dressed in black, well aremd and strong, stepped from the shadows and stood in front of King Arthur. "How fortunate for me that we meet this way, with your arrow already released from your hand", a deep voice boomed. "Arthur, once you did me a great wrong by giving my lands to your nephew, Gawain. Now I will repay you with death." Thinking quickly, Arthur said, "To slay me here, armed as you are and I clothed only in my hunting greens, would bring you no honour. Shame will f...

Mulher Árvore, o conto

Imagem
